The Student Market at SNHU is being held in the lobby of Robert Frost and the Humanities Lab on Tuesday, November 19 and Thursday, November 21, from 3:30 to 5:30pm.

This is the second Student Market that SNHU ran which offers a space for students to sell their work. Students can expect to see crochet, photography, painting, jewelry, knitted items, magnets, and more. Last year’s market had 9 vendors, this year there are over 20 vendors that have signed up to sell.

Those who are interested in buying items from students can use Venmo, Cashapp, cash, and other payment apps. Students who are selling their items keep all the earnings they make from the event.

This year, Zahra Jafri (‘26) is running the event and emphasizes the importance of giving creativity a place to flourish.

“There’s so many creative students on campus, it gives them the opportunity to not only showcase their work, but also earn something from it. Art is so valuable in this world and to celebrate all these amazing things people make is so important,” says Jafri.

The Student Market is being held before the holiday season so buyers can buy handmade and affordable gifts.

“We plan it to be right before the holiday season, that way people can holiday shop for handmade and locally made goods, that way they are supporting the local community with gifts that are a lot more thought out than store-bought ones. The market is all about lifting this community up and letting their talents take off,” says Jafri.

For more information about the Student Market students can look out for the flyers posted around campus.
