The newly opened Gustafson Center ready to welcome students.

Southern New Hampshire University’s (SNHU) new space for the Career & Professional Development Center is now open. The office has officially changed spaces from Merrimack Hall to the Gustafson Center. The Gustafson Center is located at the corner of North River Road and East Side Drive, across the street from the main entrance to campus. This building has a modern take on architecture, so though it might look unfinished, the office is open.

This building houses Undergraduate Admissions, the Career & Professional Development Center, Office of Alumni Engagement, and Marketing. There are signs around the building to clearly mark where all the offices are located. The Gustafson Center is the primary welcoming space for prospective students and families on campus. This amazing new facility is where parents and students can meet with admissions staff to learn about all the different degrees and opportunities that Southern New Hampshire University offers.

The Career & Professional Development Center will be hosting most of their events in this new building since it is a more centralized location and a bigger space. Some of the events include Resume Critique Night, Mock Interview Days, LinkedIn workshops, as well as discussion panels with employers and alumni, workshops, and prep sessions.

This new space offers more privacy for students looking to speak with advisors for career advice, and help with their internship and job search. There are interview rooms that allow complete privacy if a student needs to have a phone or Skype interview with an employer; these rooms are also where mock interviews will be taking place. From the main lobby space to the layout of the offices, the Gustafson Center was purposely designed to create interaction between the offices to benefit students. With the dedicated professional staff in each office working so closely together, they can blend their strengths to help students get the most from the SNHU experience.ent

Undergraduate Admissions is where one begins their journey at SNHU. The Career & Professional Development Center is where students find internships and jobs and begin their transition to the professional world. The Office of Alumni Engagement works with alumni who are potential employers and connects them with students. They also keep alumni engaged and bring them back for campus events, and the Marketing team helps by telling these stories. The Gustafson Center brings the entire life cycle of the SNHU student’s experience together in one place.
