Preston Pugmire will be coming to Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) on Mar. 22. SNHU’s Center of Activities and Programming Events (CAPE), has booked Preston Pugmire to perform in the Dining Center outside of the Miles room during the lunchtime hour from 12 to 1 p.m.
Preston Pugmire is a singer and song writer who is contracted with The College Agency, a company dedicated to providing entertainment for colleges at a reasonable price. Pugmire is a performer who brings his unique sound by using a technique called looping.
Looping allows an artist to record on the spot and create a one man band in front of an audience. The artist can record different sounds all at once and then replay them as he or she sings.
Pugmire has performed at venues such as Bethany College, The Romance Theater, and Velour Music Gallery. He has also been nominated for the 2012 and 2013 Reader’s Choice Awards.
Alicia Frazier, a senior at SNHU and a Committee Member of CAPE, is responsible for coordinating this event. “I hope this adds something extra and different into students’ usually regular daily routine,” said Frazier. “We wanted to bring lunch time entertainment as something different to have in the café. I hope they enjoy the amazing music I know Preston will provide!”
Preston Pugmire will provide something SNHU has never seen before. Come to the Dining Center and experience this unique performance.
