On Saturday, March 21st, the Southern New Hampshire University Greek Community held their semiannual annual Greek Day of Service (GDOS). Each semester, the Vice President of the Inter-Greek Council plans a day of service to get the whole Greek community involved.

This semester, they brought back the Give a Little, Feed a lot (GALFAL) tradition. Pre-Covid, the Greek Community’s involvement in the GALFAL initiative was a long-standing tradition. From 2009 to 2019, the Greek Community helped gather 74,301 pounds of food to be donated back to the community. The tradition has taken a pause until this year’s GDOS, where the Greek Community hopes to pick it back and continue to serve the Manchester community.

Following GDOS, the Greeks now have their semiannual Greek Week coming up. This is a week where all 5 Greek orgs compete in a number of fun challenges throughout the week, and the winner is then presented an award at their end-of-year banquet. As the end of the semester approaches, the SNHU Greek Community has many exciting things planned to finish the year off right.
