The SNHU softball team is hitting it out of the park this season. Following two trips to South Carolina and Florida for spring break, they hold an 18-3 record against conference and non-conference teams.

In their most recent game, the Penmen topped Saint Michael’s 1-0 in North Andover, Massachusetts. Erin Garczynski (‘19) hit the only home run of the game. Brittany Perdigao (‘18) and Jackie Gavin (‘21) also made hits in the game, while pitcher Maddy Barone (‘20) denied Saint Michael’s runs with her fifth shut-out of the season. Perdigao also prevented the Purple Knights from scoring when she fired a strike across the diamond to retire the side.

When asked how she thought the team has been doing, Coach Robitaille said, “Season is going great-team is coming together. We had a great spring break trip, looking forward to jumping into conference play.”

She also added, “The special part about this team is each game there is and can be a different star! They play really well together, definition of a team! Chemistry is outstanding! They are all focused on one goal: To get back to a championship!”

The Penmen return to action today, March 29, when they travel to Connecticut for NE-10 action against Post University.
