The Womens Center can be found in the Green Center.

The Deborah L. Coffin Women’s Center at SNHU is a recent addition to the campus’s effort to inspire inclusivity and equality. The center, located in the Green Center for Student Success, provides a safe and welcoming space where anyone can stop by, meet new people, and learn more about issues regarding gender equality.

The Women’s Center acts as a perfect spot for students to take a break from their busy days as it offers comfortable seating, a variety of snacks, lots of resources, and plenty of friendly faces. Additionally, the Women’s Center hosts a multitude of events throughout the school year that aim to educate students on many of the issues that women face and to celebrate women who inspire others from around the world as well as right on campus. Just this past year, some of the events hosted by the center have included movie screenings such asShe’s Beautiful When She’s Angry” and “Trapped,” attendance at the Boston Women’s March, a Galentine’s Day celebration, and many more.

For students who are looking to visit the Women’s Center, its hours are 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday. During these times, the center is staffed with a group of SNHU students who are eager to answer any questions and are passionate about the issues on which the Women’s Center focuses on. SNHU faculty member and the director of the Women’s Center, Brooke Gilmore is also extremely welcoming and one of the main reasons the Women’s Center has been so successful.

This upcoming year will be filled with many more of the Women’s Center’s events to further inspire, educate, and empower the SNHU student body on the issues that matter most to those involved in this important new addition to SNHU’s campus.
