The Sports Management Club is an organization that focuses on the study of sports management and interests those in the sports industry. The purpose of the Sports Management Club is to provide students the opportunity to experience the different aspects of the sports industry and to learn, firsthand, about the field of Sports Management.

This club will broaden the perspectives of its members and provide opportunities for them to network with individuals and organizations in the sports industry. These opportunities will assist the students in attaining both industry experience and help build their networks.

Opportunities offered by the club may include sporting events (on and off campus), tournament development and operations, tours of sport facilities and operations, speakers, fundraising and other activities. In the 2016-2017 year, the club attended  Boston Celtics and Red Sox games where they toured the stadium and main offices.

In the fall, the club was able to head to Foxboro, MA to tour Gillette Stadium and attend a New England Revolution game. Along with that, the club participated in sports management conferences at University of Massachusetts at Lowell, University of Connecticut, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. These experiences have allowed the club members to become familiar with the industry and understand what it takes to be an industry professional.

In the 2017-2018 year, the club hopes to continue to go to these events and conferences from the previous year, along with taking a trip to the MLB Spring training in Florida.

Club meetings are on the second Tuesday of every month. If you would like to learn more please email sprtmgmnt@snhu.edu or follow us on twitter @SNHUSM. If you’re a Sports Management major or enjoy the world of sports, this club is for you!
