Southern New Hampshire University’s (SNHU) HalloweenFest took place on Oct. 29 at 4 p.m. Hosted by RadioSNHU and cosponsored by 11 other clubs, this event had something for everyone. Originally set to take place on the Green Space, the looming rain forced a location move for the event. Luckily, the Pub had no events taking place at the same time.

“It was a little bit difficult to switch locations because my phone was telling me it wasn’t supposed to rain all day. I’m friends with most of the managers of the other clubs, so I texted them that morning. I think we got everyone in here comfortably,” said Sarah Creeden, President of RadioSNHU. With 12 total clubs involved, RadioSNHU was able to promote their own club as well as draw in students that may have only been interested in the other cosponsoring organizations.

“We hope to get different kinds of people involved to cosponsor with us and have a variety of shows with our station,” said Creeden. This event in particular was focused on Halloween. “We were hoping we could get a lot of people out to celebrate Halloween. I don’t think school has enough Halloween events for students to go to and this gives them more options,” said Creeden. All of the clubs involved provided different activities. The Animation and Art Forms Club had face painting, Student Government Association did mummy wraps and Kappa Chi brought in a photo booth.

Additionally, The Penmen Press held a costume contest and the Gaming Club had Super Smash Bros. to play. Tie dyeing and make your own hot cocoa were also available at the event. With so many options to choose from, this event was a hit with everyone who attended. From the spooky, to the simply fun, HalloweenFest was a great addition to the Halloween Weekend.
