The Office of Academic Advising at Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) will hold an event called Majors in Minutes. Majors in Minutes will help students gain a more realistic understanding of the pros and cons of each major from actual students in the programs.

This information will spur students to investigate further, ask questions, and ultimately find a major that best fits their passions and interests.

Academic Advisor, Neena Fink said, “Majors in Minutes is a way for students to learn about the majors offered at SNHU in a fun and interactive speed-dating format. Students will have the opportunity to engage with upperclassmen student representatives from each on-campus major, earn 3 Penmen Pride points, and get free milkshakes. What’s not to love?”

The event is for students who are still exploring majors or students who are not confident about their current major.

Majors in Minutes, formerly known as the Academic Exploration Fair, is more student-centered as it opts for student representatives to meet students where they are and help them connect with their future career goals.

The Office of Academic Advising will be sponsoring this event. Upperclassmen student representatives from over 30 majors will share about their majors and answer any questions students may have about specific interests.

The event will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 1 in the Dining Center’s Banquet Hall.
