The Psychology Student Association (PSA) is an organization with the goal of having our club members take something meaningful away from the meetings and the club overall. We bring students that have a common interest in psychology together and provide opportunities for them to deepen their knowledge in the field and learn about the different career paths and opportunities available after SNHU.
Students do not have to be a psychology major or minor. All students that have at least some of an interest in Psychology are welcome to our meetings.
In the past, the club has hosted movie nights, stress less events for finals, brought in guest speakers for all of the psychology department to attend, as well as hosted many volunteering events such as Jayme’s Fund in addition to co-sponsoring with other clubs and organizations on campus.
The Psychology Student Association has also attended many conferences in both the Manchester area and Boston area, including the NHPA and NEPA. At these conferences students compete in events like the psych cup and listen to the latest research in psychology.
During our PSA meetings, we often have professors come in to conduct research so students can be a part of a real study and experience lie detector testing, cognitive mind testing as well as personality tests.
The club takes the suggestions from the club members and tries to implement them. We want all of the students to get the most they can out of this club as well as attending meetings that are interactive and interesting. PSA meets biweekly; every other Wednesday 2-3:15 p.m. during free period, in Robert Frost Hall room number 315.
