The Accounting Society is an organization dedicated to giving all students interested in accounting opportunities to succeed in finding and acquiring a career in their desired career choice.
Our organization also provides students information about the accounting field, as well as the chance to take leadership roles, meet potential employers, and host events on campus. Meetings and the majority of our events take place on Wednesdays, every other week, in room 205 in Webster Hall from 2-3 p.m.
Club events and activities mainly focus on assisting students in any skills relating to professional endeavors. Some professional events the Accounting Society has held include resumé critiques, practicing and improving interviewing skills, and hearing from alumni about the life of an accountant and their chosen field.
Despite what others may think about an accounting club, the Accounting Society also has many fun and stress-free activities. In the past, we have made stress balls, watched movies, and more. We have also partnered with offices on campus for several events, including the Career Development Center.
For this upcoming year, we will start our third year off with continuing to hold both professional and relaxing activities, such as a networking event in the fall, and potentially a movie night. We look forward to what the future has in store for the organization. We accept everyone who is interested in joining and always welcome more members!
